Dear Cartwheels,

Thank you for the memory of you:

I'm throwing myself around the family room, accompanied by Queen’s, A Night at the Opera.  I'm attempting cartwheels.  I want so badly to be able to do them.  I’ve seen the older girls at school spinning like fireworks across the playground and it looks like so much fun.  I want to spin too.

My arms are okay,  I can get that bit right.  With every attempt I choose two blue paisley swirls on the carpet and place one hand in each, then, as Freddie Mercury sings Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon I kick my legs into the air and hope that a cartwheel happens...It doesn't, but I try again.  I keep trying until I make myself dizzy, and I don’t stop until one day Freddie is singing Bohemian Rhapsody and I can do them perfectly.
